Regularly inspect mechanical equipment (pumps, engines, hydraulic systems, auxiliary machinery) for wear, leaks, alignment, and functionality.
Perform scheduled maintenance to prevent failures.
Repair & Troubleshooting
Diagnose mechanical issues (e.g. leaks, unusual noise, vibration, broken parts).
Carry out repairs or replace worn/damaged components (bearings, seals, belts, pulleys, etc.).
Collaborate with other technical disciplines (e.g. electrical) if issues are mechatronic.
Installation & Component Replacement
Install or replace parts/components: bearings, belts, pumps, hydraulic hoses, filters, etc.
Ensure correct installation per technical specifications and alignments.
Operational Support
Assist operations department when mechanical assistance is required in the field.
Maintain readiness of equipment and respond to mechanical breakdowns quickly.
Equipment & Tools Management
Use proper mechanical tools & measurement devices; maintain and store tools properly.
Maintain clean and safe work areas; ensure tools and workstations are safe and organized.
Safety & Compliance
Follow safety protocols (lockout/tagout, using PPE, working in wet / slip-risk areas).
Ensure mechanical repairs and installations meet regulatory and safety standards relevant to marina operations.
Documentation & Reporting
Keep records/logs of maintenance, repairs, parts replaced, time taken, and observations.
Report to supervisor: status of equipment, recurring issues, suggestions for upgrades or preventive improvements.
